Integrity Tree Planting Movement at Batu City Elementary School
A positive activity was recently carried out at SDN Songgokerto 03, Batu City. TIMES Indonesia organized a tree planting campaign dubbed the 'Integrity Tree' within the school environment. This activity aims to instill values of honesty and good character in students from an early age.
In this event, the organizers and the school worked together to plant tree seedlings in the school area. The choice of the name 'Integrity Tree' was not without reason. The tree serves as a symbol that honesty must be nurtured and cultivated every day in order to grow strong, just like the process of caring for a plant until it becomes large.
The students appeared enthusiastic about participating in this activity. They were taught how to plant trees correctly while also understanding the importance of protecting the environment. In addition to providing benefits for school greening, this activity also serves as a means of character education for the younger generation in Batu City.
The principal and teachers welcomed this initiative. They hope that through the symbol of the tree, students will always remember to be honest in their studies and in interacting with their peers. Character education is indeed an important focus in the current school curriculum.
The activity concluded with the hope that the planted trees will thrive and serve as a reminder to the entire school community. Small steps like planting trees are expected to have a major impact on shaping students' personalities in the future.
