Indonesian National Police Health Post Treats Hundreds of Residents Affected by Nagekeo Earthquake
The health post established by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) continues to provide medical services for residents affected by the earthquake in Nagekeo, East Nusa Tenggara. This step was taken as a rapid response effort to ensure the public's health condition remains maintained post-disaster.
As of August 24, 2026, it was recorded that approximately 400 residents had come to the post for check-ups. Medical personnel in the field are attending to various health complaints experienced by residents, ranging from minor injuries to other general health issues resulting from environmental conditions following the earthquake.
In addition to providing direct treatment, the Polri medical team continues to monitor the health progress of refugees at the disaster site. The presence of this post is very helpful for residents who have difficulty accessing health facilities due to infrastructure damage or locations that are difficult to reach.
This humanitarian activity is part of Polri's commitment to supporting the recovery of areas affected by natural disasters. The police ensure that health services will continue to operate throughout the emergency response period to guarantee the safety of Nagekeo residents.
