Chinese Investment Continues to Drive Industrial Growth in Indonesia
China is now recorded as one of the largest foreign investors in Indonesia. Based on the latest data, the realization of investment from the country reached USD 8.1 billion in 2025.
This significant investment figure accounts for approximately 13 percent of the total foreign capital entering Indonesia. This demonstrates that economic cooperation between the two countries is becoming increasingly close and strategic.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, stated that the influx of capital from China has had a positive impact on the national industrial sector. This investment helps accelerate infrastructure development and the construction of factories in various regions of Indonesia.
In addition to strengthening the industrial sector, this cooperation is also expected to create more job opportunities for the local community. The Indonesian government continues to strive to create a conducive investment climate so that foreign capital continues to flow into the country.
Looking ahead, Indonesia hopes that economic relations with China will remain stable and mutually beneficial. The government's main focus at this time is to ensure that such investment can increase the added value of domestic products.
