Buol Regency Government Expands Economic Digitalization with Bank Indonesia
The Government of Buol Regency, Central Sulawesi, has begun strengthening efforts to expand digitalization in its region. This step is being taken through a strategic partnership with Bank Indonesia and several local banking institutions to support non-cash payment systems for the public and business players.
This program aims to simplify financial transactions in the region, especially in the public service and trade sectors. By using a digital system, the public is expected to be able to make tax payments, levies, and buying and selling transactions more quickly, securely, and efficiently without having to use cash.
In addition to facilitating transactions, this digitalization is also expected to increase transparency in regional financial management. Bank Indonesia is providing technical assistance to ensure that the implemented system complies with national security standards, so that the public feels more confident and comfortable using digital banking services.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Buol will also benefit from this program. They are being encouraged to use QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard)-based payment methods to reach more customers and simplify their business financial record-keeping.
Overall, this initiative is part of a national effort to accelerate digital economic transformation in every corner of Indonesia.
