SBY's Message to the Government on the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia
The 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), delivered an important message to the government in welcoming the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. SBY emphasized the need for the government to continue maintaining national economic stability amidst increasingly complex global challenges.
In his message, SBY specifically highlighted the importance of maintaining the country's fiscal balance. He reminded that wise budget management is crucial so that national development can proceed sustainably without burdening the state's finances in the future.
Beyond economic issues, SBY also issued a firm warning regarding the importance of integrity in government. He requested that all levels of government work transparently and implement strict oversight to prevent irregularities or corrupt practices that could harm the people.
On the other hand, SBY confirmed that he would not be attending the 81st Indonesian Independence Day commemoration ceremony in person this year. Although he will not be at the ceremony site, he continues to express his full support for the government's efforts in advancing the nation and improving the welfare of the Indonesian people.
This message is expected to serve as a reminder for policymakers to remain focused on the interests of the people. Fiscal stability and clean governance are considered the primary keys to leading Indonesia toward becoming a more advanced and competitive nation in the future.
