Tabanan Prison Once Again Holds 'Sambang Sehat' Program for Early Health Detection of Inmates
The Class IIB Tabanan Prison has once again implemented the 'Sambang Sehat' (Healthy Visit) program for its inmates. This routine activity aims to conduct early detection of various health risks that may be experienced by prison residents while serving their sentences.
In this activity, the medical team from the Tabanan Prison clinic conducted comprehensive health check-ups. The examinations included blood pressure checks, blood sugar level tests, and general health consultations. This step was taken to ensure that the physical condition of the inmates remains well-maintained while they are within the prison environment.
In addition to physical examinations, medical personnel also provided education regarding the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and healthy eating habits. Inmates were given the opportunity to consult directly about any health complaints they were experiencing. This was done as a form of excellent service and the fulfillment of health rights for every inmate.
The Head of Tabanan Prison stated that this program is part of the agency's commitment to providing sustainable healthcare services. Through early detection, it is hoped that any health issues can be addressed immediately before they become more serious, ensuring the prison environment remains conducive and healthy.
The Sambang Sehat activity received a positive response from the inmates. They felt assisted by the routine examinations, which provide easy access to healthcare services without having to leave the prison area. This program is planned to continue periodically as a preventive effort to maintain health within the correctional facility.
