WhatsApp Now Allows Users to Save Contacts Using Usernames
WhatsApp has just launched a highly anticipated new feature for its users. Now, users can save new contacts simply by using a username, without needing to know or share their personal phone numbers.
This step was taken by WhatsApp to enhance user privacy and security worldwide, including in Indonesia. With this feature, users no longer need to worry when they have to provide their phone number to someone they have just met or during certain business transactions.
The use of usernames is expected to simplify interactions between users. Besides being more practical, this feature also gives users greater control in managing who can contact them through the instant messaging application.
Currently, the feature is being rolled out gradually to users in various regions. Users are advised to always update their WhatsApp application to the latest version via official app stores to immediately enjoy this new security feature.
Overall, this update is a positive step for WhatsApp in maintaining the comfort of its users. With the username system, the privacy of users' personal data can be better protected in today's increasingly evolving digital era.
