Ministry of Health and BPOM Push for Digitalization to Improve Healthcare Services
The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) and the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) are currently working to strengthen the national health system through the utilization of modern technology. This step is taken as part of a strategy to improve health resilience in Indonesia.
One of the Ministry of Health's main focuses is the implementation of digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare services. This technology is expected to facilitate public access to health facilities and accelerate the process of diagnosis and medical treatment in various regions.
On the other hand, BPOM plays an active role in encouraging innovation in the fields of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. The agency is committed to continuously maintaining the quality, safety, and efficacy of drugs circulating in the community. With these innovations, it is hoped that domestic health products can compete and meet the established quality standards.
Synergy between digitalization and strict supervision is key to facing future health challenges. The government hopes that this technological transformation will not only increase work efficiency but also provide a tangible impact on the well-being of the Indonesian people at large.
