Universitas AKPRIND and STIPRAM Collaborate to Boost Kulon Progo's Economy through Technology
Universitas AKPRIND Indonesia and the Ambarrukmo Tourism Institute (STIPRAM) have just launched a strategic collaboration program in Kulon Progo Regency. This initiative aims to strengthen the food security, tourism, and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sectors through the utilization of appropriate technology.
In this program, academics and students are focusing on implementing digital solutions to assist local business owners. The use of technology is expected to simplify food production processes to be more efficient, as well as assist in the marketing of MSME products so they can reach a wider market outside the region.
In addition to the food and MSME sectors, the development of the tourism sector is also a top priority. The team from STIPRAM is providing guidance on digital-based tourist destination management, so that the tourism potential in Kulon Progo can be better known by both domestic and international tourists.
The implementation of this technology is expected to have a tangible economic impact on the local community. With continuous mentoring, business owners are expected to be able to adapt to the changing times and improve the competitiveness of their products in the modern market.
