Boyolali Regency Government Strengthens Animal Health System through STRIDES-GHS Program
The Boyolali Regency Government is currently strengthening health coordination through the STRIDES-GHS program. This step was taken as an effort to improve the performance of the Regional Coordination Team for Zoonoses and Emerging Infectious Diseases in the region.
Boyolali is widely known as one of the main livestock hubs in Central Java. This great potential must be well maintained, especially to ensure the availability of a safe and high-quality supply of animal protein for the wider community.
Through the One Health approach, the local government is striving to integrate human, animal, and environmental health. This program is expected to prevent the spread of diseases transmitted from animals to humans, also known as zoonoses, more effectively.
In addition to focusing on disease prevention, this program also aims to strengthen early detection systems at the regional level. With better coordination, the government can respond to threats of emerging infectious diseases more quickly and accurately.
This strategic step is expected to have a positive impact on the sustainability of the livestock sector in Boyolali. With a healthy environment and guaranteed livestock health, the public can feel more at ease in consuming local livestock products.
