Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo Enhances Mental Health Support for Indonesian Citizens in Japan
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Tokyo has just launched a new initiative to enhance protection for Indonesian citizens (WNI) living in Japan. The main focus of this program is to provide mental health support for expatriates facing the challenges of living abroad.
This activity was realized through a seminar and workshop titled "Mental Health Care 101." The event was designed to provide education on the importance of maintaining psychological well-being amidst the busyness of working or pursuing education in Japan.
Many Indonesian citizens in Japan often face cultural pressure, language barriers, and high workloads. Through this activity, the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo hopes that participants can better understand how to manage stress and recognize the symptoms of mental health disorders early on so that they do not have a negative impact on their lives.
In addition to providing information, this event also serves as a platform for the Indonesian community to share experiences and support one another. The Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo is committed to continuing to provide better access to mental health services for all Indonesians in Japan.
This step is part of the Indonesian government's ongoing efforts to ensure the welfare and safety of its citizens abroad. It is hoped that this initiative can help Indonesian citizens remain productive and healthy while in Japan.
