Sultan Hamengkubuwono X Encourages Indonesia's Younger Generation to Lead with Courage
The Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, delivered an important message to Indonesia's younger generation while attending the 2026 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI). On that occasion, he emphasized the importance of the role of young people in determining the nation's future.
Sultan mentioned that Indonesia is currently facing three major momentum points that must not be missed. These three things are the demographic bonus, the rapid development of technology, and the construction of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan.
According to the Sultan, the demographic bonus is a great opportunity because Indonesia has a very large number of people of productive age. If managed well, this can accelerate economic progress and the country's competitiveness at the international level.
Furthermore, increasingly sophisticated technological developments demand that young people continue to learn and innovate. The Sultan hopes that the younger generation will not just be spectators, but will be able to become leaders who are brave enough to take a role in technological development within the country.
In closing, the Sultan invited all young people to utilize the momentum of the IKN construction as a platform to contribute. He emphasized that the courage to lead and innovate is the main key for the younger generation in bringing Indonesia toward a better future.
