Three Major Poultry Health Challenges in Indonesia in July 2026
The latest report from Ceva Disease Surveillance for July 2026 has been released. This data highlights the three main health issues most frequently affecting poultry populations in Indonesia at this time.
Based on the report, Infectious Bronchitis (IB) ranks first as the most reported health issue. This disease is a primary concern for farmers due to its significant spread in the field.
In second place is the Avian Influenza (AI) H9 subtype virus. Additionally, an environmental issue known as 'heat stress' ranks third. Each of these three issues recorded eight reports, or approximately 10 percent of the total cases monitored.
Heat stress conditions in poultry are usually triggered by weather changes or excessively high ambient temperatures. This poses a distinct challenge for farmers in Indonesia, particularly in maintaining the comfort and health of chickens within the coop.
This report is expected to serve as a guide for farmers to be more vigilant. By understanding the patterns of disease spread and these environmental factors, it is hoped that farmers can take more precise preventive measures to maintain the productivity of their poultry.
