Deputy Minister of Health Dante Emphasizes the Vital Role of Health Education for Indonesia's Future
The Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dante Saksono Harbuwono, emphasized that the future of Indonesia's health depends heavily on the strength of public health. This statement was made as part of the government's efforts to strengthen the national health system to be more resilient in facing various future challenges.
According to Prof. Dante, public health education institutions hold a very crucial position. These institutions do not merely function as places of learning, but also as driving forces in creating experts capable of designing targeted health policies for all Indonesian people.
In his explanation, there are three strategic roles that must be carried out by health education institutions. These roles include the development of innovative research, the improvement of human resource quality, and direct service to the community to resolve health issues at the grassroots level.
This step is part of the health transformation currently being promoted by the government. By strengthening health education, it is hoped that Indonesia can have a better disease prevention system, thereby allowing the national health cost burden to become more efficient.
In closing, the government hopes that collaboration between educational institutions and the health sector can continue to be improved. This synergy is considered the main key to achieving national health targets that are more equitable and of higher quality for the entire population of Indonesia.
