Free Health Check Program: 15.2 Million Indonesian Students Examined
The Indonesian government remains committed to improving the health quality of the younger generation through the School Children Free Health Check (CKG) program. As of August 2026, it is recorded that 15.2 million students across the country have undergone comprehensive health examinations through this program.
This program aims to detect health issues early so that medical treatment can be provided more quickly and accurately. By reaching millions of students, the government hopes to map the health conditions of Indonesian children more accurately across various regions.
However, the results of these examinations have revealed quite concerning facts regarding children's oral health. Data shows that approximately 40 percent of the students examined suffer from cavities. This figure is a serious concern for medical personnel and parents to pay closer attention to children's daily dental hygiene.
In addition to dental issues, the CKG program also provides important education on healthy lifestyles to students. This step is expected to reduce the rate of diseases that frequently affect school-age children, such as vision problems and malnutrition.
Looking ahead, the government plans to continue this program so that all students in Indonesia have equitable access to healthcare. Active participation from schools and parents is highly expected so that the health of Indonesian children can be well maintained.
