Forest and Land Fire Team and TNI Monitor Land Fires in Badau Village
TNI personnel, together with the Forest and Land Fire Control Team (Karhutla), conducted a direct inspection of the land fire site in Badau Village, Badau District. This activity was carried out as a swift measure to monitor field conditions following reports of hotspots in the area.
Sergeant Suprapto, representing the TNI, accompanied the team during the monitoring process. His presence aimed to ensure that the situation at the location remained under control and to prevent the fire from spreading further to residential areas or the surrounding protected forests.
In addition to inspecting the location, the joint team also conducted outreach to the local community regarding the dangers of land fires. They provided education on the importance of protecting the environment and the prohibition against clearing land by burning, which is often the primary cause of fires during the dry season.
This activity is part of the local government's preventive efforts to reduce the number of forest and land fires. Cooperation between security forces and residents is expected to increase public awareness in maintaining environmental sustainability in the Badau District area.
