Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Urges Regional Governments to Strengthen Health Sovereignty Towards 2045
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Akhmad Wiyagus recently emphasized the importance of the regional government's role in realizing the vision of Indonesia's Health Sovereignty 2045. This was conveyed as a strategic step to ensure that all people in various regions have access to equitable and quality health services.
In his directive, the Deputy Minister encouraged regional governments to be more active in cross-sector collaboration. Synergy between health offices, regional governments, and the private sector is considered crucial to accelerate the improvement of health infrastructure at the local level. With good cooperation, obstacles in the provision of medical facilities are expected to be overcome more quickly.
In addition to collaboration, regional governments are also asked to focus more on improving the quality of human resources in the health sector. Strengthening the capacity of medical personnel in the regions is key so that health services are not only concentrated in big cities but also reach remote areas throughout Indonesia.
This step is part of the central government's long-term preparation to face future health challenges. The central government hopes that with full support from regional governments, the Golden Indonesia 2045 target in the health sector can be achieved more optimally and sustainably.
