Minister of Defense Inspects Italian Aircraft Carrier Giuseppe Garibaldi in Jakarta
The Indonesian Minister of Defense, accompanied by several high-ranking TNI officials, conducted an official visit to the Italian Navy aircraft carrier, ITS Giuseppe Garibaldi. The warship is currently docked at Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, as part of an international maritime diplomacy mission.
During this visit, the Indonesian officials had the opportunity to see firsthand the technology and facilities aboard the aircraft carrier. The meeting aimed to strengthen defense cooperation between Indonesia and Italy, particularly in the fields of information exchange and joint military exercises.
ITS Giuseppe Garibaldi is known as a warship with high operational capabilities. Its presence in Indonesian waters serves as an important symbol in maintaining maritime security stability in the increasingly strategic Indo-Pacific region.
In addition to inspecting the ship's facilities, the visit also served as a forum for discussions regarding the development of naval defense technology. The TNI hopes that this cooperation will provide new insights for the future development of defense equipment and weapon systems in Indonesia.
The activity concluded with an exchange of mementos as a symbol of friendship between the two countries. Visits by foreign warships like this are a routine agenda carried out to strengthen Indonesia's military diplomacy in the eyes of the world.
