Six Orangutans Successfully Rescued from Forest Fire
A total of six orangutans were successfully evacuated by a rescue team after being trapped near the site of a forest fire. These protected animals were found just 200 meters away from the raging flames.
The health condition of the six orangutans is currently reported to be good. Nevertheless, they still require intensive care, including intravenous fluids and oxygen support, to recover their physical condition due to exposure to the fire's smoke.
Forest fires pose a serious threat to the survival of orangutans in their natural habitat. Thick smoke and the loss of food sources due to the fire often force these animals to move into unsafe areas.
The rescue team continues to monitor the situation around the fire site to ensure no other animals are trapped. This evacuation effort is an important step in maintaining the orangutan population, which is increasingly dwindling in the wild.
This incident serves as a reminder to the public of the importance of protecting forests from the threat of fire. Authorities urge citizens to remain vigilant and to report immediately if they see any hotspots in forest areas.
