KPU RI Officially Opens Registration for the 2026 Journalistic Awards
The General Elections Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has officially opened registration for the 2026 KPU Journalistic Awards. This competition is being held as part of a series of celebrations marking the long journey of the election organizing institution in safeguarding the democratic process in the country.
This year, the event carries the main theme of "73 Years of KPU RI Safeguarding Indonesian Democracy." This theme was chosen to reflect the KPU's dedication to overseeing every stage of the general election and ensuring that the voting rights of the Indonesian people are well-channeled for over seven decades.
This competition is open to journalists who wish to contribute through written works or other journalistic pieces. The organizers have divided the competition into three main categories. This aims to capture the best works capable of providing education and accurate information to the wider public regarding the importance of democracy.
Through the hosting of these Journalistic Awards, the KPU hopes to strengthen its collaborative relationship with the mass media. The media is considered to have a very crucial role in conveying objective and transparent information regarding the implementation of elections in Indonesia.
For journalists interested in participating, further information regarding the terms and conditions of registration can be accessed through the official KPU RI channels. It is hoped that this event will motivate members of the press to continue producing quality journalistic work for the advancement of the nation's democracy.
