Indonesia Develops Advanced Rocket, Flight Test Targeted for 2029
The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is currently developing two-stage rocket technology. This ambitious project represents a major step for Indonesia in enhancing its capabilities in the fields of aerospace technology and national defense.
The development of this rocket is being carried out independently by domestic experts. Its primary focus is to create an advanced rocket system so that Indonesia is no longer entirely dependent on technology from other countries.
According to the established plan, the development process will take several years to complete. BRIN aims for all technical preparations and supporting infrastructure to be finished on time so that the rocket is ready for testing.
The maiden flight test for this two-stage rocket is scheduled to be conducted in 2029. The success of this test is expected to open new opportunities for Indonesia in space exploration programs as well as future satellite technology development.
