ITB Student Represents Indonesia at the UN, Highlights Mental Health Issues Through Football
A student from the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FTSL) at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) has achieved a proud accomplishment on the international stage. They were selected as a youth representative for Indonesia to speak at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters located in New York, United States.
During the occasion, the student carried an important mission regarding mental health. They highlighted how the football ecosystem can be utilized as a means to support mental well-being for the younger generation. According to them, sports play a major role in building a healthy and mutually supportive community.
This topic was chosen because mental health is an increasingly relevant issue for young people around the world, including in Indonesia. By using football as a medium, they hope that positive messages about the importance of maintaining mental health can be conveyed more easily and enjoyably to the wider community.
The presence of the ITB student at this UN forum demonstrates that Indonesian youth have a high level of concern for global issues. This step is expected to inspire other students to continue contributing and voicing creative ideas for a better change in the future.
