The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) of the Republic of Indonesia has officially entered into a strategic partnership with New York University (NYU). This collaboration aims to build a sports ecosystem in Indonesia that meets globally recognized standards.
The primary focus of this partnership includes several key areas, namely sports diplomacy and sports management education. Through this partnership, it is hoped that sports administrators in Indonesia will be able to enhance their professional capabilities using the international educational standards provided by NYU.
In addition to the management aspect, this program also targets the youth development sector. Both parties have agreed to conduct innovative research that is expected to provide solutions to the challenges currently faced by Indonesia's younger generation, particularly in the fields of sports and leadership.
This step is part of the government's efforts to increase the competitiveness of national athletes and sports professionals. With the support of research and expertise from a renowned educational institution like NYU, it is expected that the quality of sports governance in Indonesia will see significant improvement in the future.
