New Guide Launched to Help People Research Irish Family History
Accredited Genealogists Ireland (AGI), the official body for professional family history researchers on the island, has released a new guide. This resource is designed to help people navigate the complex system of Irish Civil Registration.
Civil registration records are essential for anyone looking to trace their ancestors. These documents include official records of births, marriages, and deaths, which have been kept by the state for many years. The new guide aims to make these records easier to understand and access for both beginners and experienced researchers.
As the representative body for professional genealogists, AGI provides standards and support for those working in the field. By publishing this guide, they hope to assist the public in finding accurate information about their family backgrounds and the history of their relatives.
This publication is a valuable tool for those living in Ireland or abroad who wish to learn more about their heritage. The guide is now available to the public, offering clear instructions on how to search for and interpret important historical documents.
