New Digital Map to Help Limerick Residents Find Affordable Food
The Limerick Food Partnership (LFP) has announced the launch of a new digital dashboard designed to connect local people with affordable food sources. This initiative aims to make it easier for residents to identify where they can access healthy and budget-friendly food options within their own communities.
By creating a visual map, the project links specific locations with the people who need them most. The goal is to improve food security across the region by providing clear, up-to-date information on where affordable food is available. This tool is expected to be a valuable resource for families and individuals who are looking to manage their grocery costs more effectively.
Organizers believe that this dashboard will help bridge the gap between food providers and the public. By making this information easily accessible online, the LFP hopes to reduce food waste and ensure that resources are distributed more efficiently throughout Limerick.
This project reflects a growing trend in Ireland to use technology to solve local social issues. As the dashboard becomes available to the public, the Limerick Food Partnership plans to monitor its impact to see how it improves daily life for residents in the area.
