Met Éireann Warns of Heavy Rainfall Across Ireland This Weekend
National forecaster Met Éireann has issued a weather update for Ireland, warning that the country should prepare for unsettled conditions over the coming days. Meteorologists have predicted that rainfall levels will be 'above normal' for this time of year, which may lead to the introduction of official weather warnings.
As we move into Saturday night, the weather is expected to become more unpredictable. A mixture of clear skies and rainy spells is forecast across the country. Cloud cover will increase significantly, particularly in the western and southern counties, where the heaviest downpours are expected to occur.
These weather patterns are part of a broader trend of wet conditions currently affecting the region. While some areas may experience brief dry periods, the overall outlook suggests that residents should be prepared for persistent rain throughout the weekend.
Met Éireann is continuing to monitor the situation closely. They have advised the public to keep an eye on local forecasts, as the potential for heavy rainfall may lead to difficult driving conditions or localized flooding in some areas. Updates will be provided as the weather system develops.
