New Golf Guide Launched for Visually Impaired Players in Ireland
Golf Ireland and Vision Sports Ireland have officially launched a new educational resource designed to make the sport more accessible. This initiative aims to help people who are blind or vision-impaired to start playing golf and enjoy the game with confidence.
The new guide provides practical information for both players and golf clubs. It explains how to adapt the game and offers advice on how to support players with sight loss. By providing these resources, the organizations hope to remove barriers that have previously made it difficult for some people to participate in the sport.
This project is part of a wider effort to make Irish sports more inclusive for everyone in the community. The guide includes tips on equipment, coaching, and how golf clubs can create a more welcoming environment for all members, regardless of their visual ability.
Representatives from both organizations stated that they want to encourage more people to get active and enjoy the social and physical benefits of golf. They believe that with the right information and support, golf can be a sport that everyone can play and enjoy together.
Those interested in learning more about the initiative can find the guide on the official Golf Ireland website. The organizations hope that this resource will lead to a significant increase in the number of visually impaired people taking up the sport across the country.
