DCC Shareholders to Receive Lower Payout Following Tech Unit Sale
DCC, the Irish-based international sales, marketing, and support services group, has announced an update regarding the sale of its technology division. The company informed investors that the final payment they will receive from the deal is lower than previously expected.
This adjustment follows the sale of the business unit to the buyer, Nexora. While the deal included an initial upfront payment of £65.25 per share, the additional payment linked to the final sale price did not meet the company’s original financial targets.
As a result, DCC shareholders are now set to receive 42 pence per share from the transaction. The company confirmed this figure as the final amount following the completion of the sale process.
The news reflects the challenges of hitting specific financial targets in large-scale corporate divestments. DCC remains a significant player in the Irish business landscape, and investors will be watching closely to see how the company utilizes the capital from this sale in its future operations.
