Dublin City Council Announces Upcoming SDG Week
Dublin City Council has officially announced that Ireland’s fifth annual SDG Week will take place later this month. The event is scheduled to run from 19 September to 27 September, inviting residents across the capital to participate in a series of sustainability-focused activities.
SDG Week is part of the wider European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW). The primary goal of the initiative is to raise awareness about the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to address global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and environmental protection.
Throughout the week, Dublin City Council libraries will host various events and information sessions. These activities are designed to help the local community understand how they can contribute to a more sustainable future in their daily lives. The council encourages citizens of all ages to engage with the programme.
For those interested in participating, the council has provided resources and schedules through their official library network. Residents are encouraged to visit their local library or check the council’s website to see the full list of workshops and discussions available during the nine-day period.
