Maynooth to Host International Environment and Health Conference
The town of Maynooth, County Kildare, has been chosen to host a significant international meeting later this year. On 25–26 November 2026, experts from across Europe will gather for the 16th meeting of the European Environment and Health Task Force (EHTF).
The EHTF is a key group that works to improve the relationship between the environment and public health. During this two-day event, delegates will discuss how environmental factors, such as air quality and climate change, impact the health of people living across the continent.
This meeting is important for Ireland as it brings together policy makers and health professionals to share research and find solutions to modern environmental challenges. The discussions held in Maynooth are expected to influence future health policies across Europe.
Hosting this event highlights Ireland's commitment to international cooperation on public health and environmental protection. Local authorities and residents are preparing to welcome the international delegates for this productive two-day summit.
