Technological Collaboration: Israeli Companies to Develop Advanced UAV for Communications
The world of defense technology in Israel is marking significant progress. It was recently announced that the Israeli companies 'Hanove' and 'Shibel' have signed a cooperation agreement to develop an innovative unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed for complex communication missions.
The joint project focuses on building an aircraft that can serve as a "flying communication tower." The goal of the UAV is to provide continuous communication solutions in areas where there is no regular cellular reception, or in areas where ground infrastructure has been damaged as a result of various events.
The new technology is expected to improve the ability of security forces and emergency organizations to maintain constant contact in the field. Thanks to the UAV's ability to remain in the air for an extended period, it will be able to transmit high-quality data, voice, and video even under challenging conditions.
Combining the capabilities of the two companies allows for the utilization of the extensive experience each possesses in the fields of aviation and electronics. Industry experts note that such a development is an important step in strengthening Israel's technological independence in the field of unmanned systems.
The development of the new UAV is expected to continue over the coming months, after which field testing stages will begin. The success of the project could lead to widespread use of this technology, not only for security needs but also for civilian uses in the future.
