US Aircraft Carrier 'Eisenhower' Leaves the Middle East
The US aircraft carrier 'Dwight D. Eisenhower' has begun its journey back to its home port in the United States. The ship, which had been stationed in the Middle East region for the past few months, has concluded its extended mission in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf area.
This decision comes after a long period in which the aircraft carrier operated in the region to deter hostile actors and maintain freedom of navigation. During its deployment, the ship's forces participated in numerous defensive missions, including dealing with threats from the Houthis in Yemen, who have attacked commercial vessels in international shipping lanes.
According to various reports, the decision for the ship's return was made following a minor technical incident that occurred on board. Officials noted that the malfunction does not affect the ship's operational capabilities, but it requires repair and maintenance at the home port following long months of intensive activity at sea.
The United States emphasizes that despite the departure of the 'Eisenhower', it will continue to maintain a significant military presence in the Middle East. Other American forces, including additional warships and air defense systems, will remain in the region to ensure security stability and assist United States allies if necessary.
