Criminal cell exposed: Weapons seized during conflict between organizations
The Israel Police recently exposed a criminal cell that was involved in a violent conflict between the Musli and Jarushi crime organizations. The investigation led to the arrest of key suspects and the filing of serious indictments against them for the illegal possession of weapons.
The significant arrest took place on Highway 6, when one of the suspects was caught by police forces in possession of fragmentation grenades. This operation led investigators to continue searches in the homes and hideouts of the other cell members.
During the subsequent searches, police officers found additional weapons that were allegedly intended for use in the conflict between the organizations. Among the items seized were two handguns and two more fragmentation grenades, which were transferred to police laboratories for testing.
The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement authorities in Israel to combat rising violence in Arab society and conflicts between criminal organizations. The police stated that the seizure of the weapons prevented potential loss of life and thwarted the criminal intentions of the suspects.
The indictments filed against those involved include offenses of illegal possession and carrying of weapons. The State Attorney's Office is now continuing legal proceedings against the suspects, while the police declare that they will continue to act decisively against any party that threatens public safety.
