Reports: IDF operated to eliminate senior Hamas official in Gaza
According to reports that arrived overnight from the Gaza Strip, IDF forces carried out a targeted strike in the western part of Gaza City. The objective of the operation was to eliminate Ali al-Amoudi, a senior official in the Hamas terrorist organization.
Al-Amoudi is considered a significant figure in the organization, as he previously served as the head of the communications office for Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader who was recently eliminated. Various sources point to him as someone who could be one of the successors or key figures in the organization's leadership today.
The strike was carried out against an apartment where al-Amoudi was staying. At this stage, no official confirmation has been received from the IDF Spokesperson regarding the results of the operation or the condition of the senior official following the strike.
The IDF continues to operate throughout the Gaza Strip with the goal of striking senior Hamas officials and dismantling the organization's military and governing capabilities. Israel's security establishment continues to monitor developments on the ground and provide updates accordingly.
