Complex Rescue Operation: Firefighters Saved a Calf That Fell into a Deep Pit in the North
An unusual incident occurred this week near Kibbutz Ayelet HaShahar in the Hula Valley. Firefighters from the Galil-Golan station were summoned to the scene following a report of a young calf that had fallen into a deep and dangerous pit in an open field and was unable to get out on its own.
Upon their arrival, the firefighters realized that this was a complex mission requiring specialized equipment. The calf was trapped several meters deep, and access to it was difficult. The teams immediately began assessing the situation to ensure that the rescue would be carried out safely for both the animal and the rescuers themselves.
The firefighters used specialized lifting equipment and ropes to reach the trapped calf. After strenuous and careful work, the firefighters managed to lift the calf out of the pit, safe and sound. After a brief examination, the calf was returned to its owner unharmed.
the incident commander noted that this is another case in which firefighters are required to demonstrate skill in animal rescue missions as well. The incident ended with great success, and the calf returned to its herd in peace.
