IDF and Border Police arrest two suspects for arson at Havat Gilad
Israeli security forces conducted a targeted operational activity in the Judea and Samaria area overnight. During the operation, two Palestinian suspects were arrested on suspicion of involvement in an arson attack at Havat Gilad.
The operation was carried out in close cooperation between IDF soldiers and the Border Police undercover unit. The forces reached the suspects following intelligence investigations that linked them to the arson incident that took place in the community.
The suspects have been transferred to security forces for questioning in order to understand the circumstances of the case and to determine if they were involved in additional incidents in the area. Security officials noted that the swift action was intended to maintain security in Havat Gilad and the surrounding communities.
Arson incidents pose a significant threat to residents and agricultural lands in the area. The IDF and Border Police continue to operate regularly to prevent acts of terrorism and nationalist-motivated crime, and to bring those responsible to justice.
