Tensions with Iran: Israel prepares for the continuation of the campaign
In recent days, a certain sense of relief has prevailed in Israel, after the direct round of exchanges of fire with Iran came to an end. However, security officials emphasize that this is only the end of one round of fighting, and not the end of the overall campaign between the two countries.
The assessment within the security establishment is that the real test against Tehran has not yet arrived, and that the confrontation may resume in the future. Israel's main goal now is to maintain security freedom of action, especially in light of the threats posed by the northern front and Lebanon.
One of the main concerns at the political and security level is that Iran will try to exert political and military pressure to limit Israel's ability to operate in Lebanon. According to estimates, Tehran is attempting to impose new rules of engagement that would make it difficult for Israel to defend its borders and prevent the transfer of weapons to terrorist organizations in the region.
Despite the relative calm currently being recorded, Israel continues to closely monitor Iranian activity. Defense and intelligence systems remain on high alert, with the understanding that the regional situation remains explosive and requires preparedness for any possible scenario in the near future.
