New tourism project in the Golan Heights: The renovated Katzrin Village opens to the public
A significant new tourism project was recently inaugurated in the Golan Heights. The renovated "Katzrin Village," established with an investment of approximately 40 million shekels, is expected to become a major attraction for travelers from all over the country who wish to combine history, heritage, and nature recreation.
The new complex offers a wide range of attractions for visitors. Among other things, a "glamping" (luxury camping) site has been established, allowing for nature stays in comfortable conditions, alongside an amphitheater for performances and cultural events. Additionally, the site includes wading pools designed for cooling off on hot summer days.
Beyond the recreational options, the project places great emphasis on preserving local history. Visitors can tour impressive archaeological sites, including an ancient synagogue that testifies to Jewish settlement in the area in ancient times. The combination of the past and modern tourism facilities is intended to provide both an educational and experiential experience.
The opening of the village marks another step in strengthening the tourism industry in the north of the country. The developers hope that the new site will attract families, groups, and individual tourists, and will help promote the local economy in the Golan Heights region throughout all seasons of the year.
