Police activity against crime in Haifa and Kiryat Yam
The Israel Police continues its fight against criminal activity in the northern region. Over the past weekend, police detectives carried out a significant raid on two illegal gambling houses located on HaMaklef Street in Haifa.
During the operation in Haifa, officers found over 100 gamblers present at the scene. The forces seized slot machines, computer drives, numerous documents, and large sums of cash. Everyone present at the location was detained for questioning by the police.
In parallel with the activity in Haifa, the police conducted a separate enforcement operation in Kiryat Yam. During a search conducted by officers in the city, they managed to locate ketamine-type drugs. The findings were transferred to police laboratories for testing as part of the investigation that was opened into the matter.
The police stated that they view this illegal activity, which harms public safety, with great severity. Police investigations regarding both incidents are ongoing, and further arrests are expected depending on the progress of the evidence collected in the field.
