Court: Oren Kobi led a lavish lifestyle using company funds
The District Court recently published a harsh decision regarding businessman Oren Kobi. According to the judges' ruling, Kobi led an exceptionally lavish lifestyle for years, using funds that did not personally belong to him.
In the verdict, it was noted that Kobi did not pay his debts to the creditors' fund for a period of six and a half years. The judges emphasized that he treated the funds of the companies he owned "as his own," using them for private needs instead of repaying the debts to the many creditors.
The investigation also revealed that Kobi purchased luxury real estate in sought-after areas of Tel Aviv using those same funds. This conduct led to severe criticism from the judicial system, which determined that it was improper behavior that harmed many people who were waiting to receive their money back.
The case is drawing significant interest due to the scale of the sums involved and the use Kobi made of the companies' resources. Now, following the court's decision, further steps are expected to be taken to attempt to recover the funds for the creditors' pool and assist the creditors who were harmed by the businessman's conduct.
