New in WhatsApp: You can now join calls even without an account
The popular messaging app WhatsApp has announced a significant update, the first of its kind in its history. From now on, users will be able to join voice and video calls directly through a computer browser, even if they do not have an active account on the app.
The innovation is intended to make things easier for people who are not regular users of the app or for those who prefer not to sign up for the service. Users will be able to enter a call using a simple link, similar to other services like Zoom or Google Meet, without going through a complex registration process.
Despite the change in approach, the company emphasizes that the level of security remains high. All calls will continue to be end-to-end encrypted, which ensures the privacy of the participants. In addition, the new service will not include a time limit, so it will be possible to hold long conversations without interruption.
The new feature is expected to gradually reach all users in Israel and around the world. This is a significant step for WhatsApp, which is trying to become a more accessible work and communication tool for a wide audience, including those who do not own a smartphone with the app installed.
