Public Warning: Beit Yanai Beach closed for swimming due to pollution
The Ministry of Health issued an urgent public notice this morning (Thursday), warning against swimming at Beit Yanai Beach in the Hefer Valley. According to the Ministry's guidelines, swimming at the beach is prohibited until further notice.
The decision to close the beach was made after routine water quality tests showed abnormal microbial results. These pollution levels do not meet the required health standards, and therefore, swimming at the site may pose a risk to public health.
Professional teams from the Ministry of Health and local authorities are continuing to monitor the water quality at the beach. The Ministry stated that it will update the public as soon as the test results return to normal and the beach is reopened for safe swimming.
We recommend that bathers stay updated with official Ministry of Health announcements before heading to the beaches, and follow the instructions of lifeguards and inspectors on-site to ensure their health.
