Warning for Israelis abroad ahead of the October 7 anniversary
The National Security Council (NSC) recently issued a severe warning to Israelis currently abroad. The warning comes ahead of the anniversary of the October 7 events, amid concerns that terrorist elements will attempt to target Israeli and Jewish locations worldwide.
Dr. Eyal Hulata, former head of the NSC, reinforced the council's statement and emphasized that there is a real risk of symbolic terror attacks in various cities across Europe and other continents. According to him, terrorist organizations may exploit this sensitive date to carry out operations against Israeli citizens.
Assessments within the security establishment indicate that the threats are not limited to a single country. Security officials are urging Israelis abroad to maintain a high level of vigilance, avoid posting their locations on social media, and keep a low profile in public places.
In addition to the security guidelines, the NSC recommends that any Israeli planning a trip or currently abroad check the threat level of their destination country on the council's official website. The goal is to ensure the safety of citizens and prevent potential harm against the backdrop of the complex security situation.
