Extremely heavy rains have fallen in Thailand's capital, Bangkok, from last Thursday until Saturday morning. The large amount of precipitation caused widespread flooding throughout the city, affecting the daily lives of residents and the many tourists staying there.
Following the rapid rise in water levels, major roads in the city were closed to traffic. Many vehicles became stranded in the deep water, leading to heavy traffic congestion and severe disruptions to both public and private transportation.
