Netanyahu's defense requests to reduce trial hearing days
Attorney Amit Hadad, representing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has petitioned the court to change the hearing schedule. The attorney argued that the defense team cannot keep up with the pace of five hearing days per week as planned.
During the hearing, Attorney Hadad compared the workload required to the trial of Adolf Eichmann. According to him, the Eichmann trial was the only case in Israeli legal history where hearings were held at such a volume of five days a week.
The request was submitted with the aim of allowing the defense team more time to prepare the arguments and documents required for conducting the trial. The attorneys emphasize that an excessive workload could impair their ability to present their defense in a proper and thorough manner.
The court is expected to discuss the request and decide whether to change the established hearing schedule. This decision may affect the overall timeline of the trial and the progress of the legal proceedings concerning the Prime Minister.
