Court Rules: Oren Kobi Maintained an Extravagant Lifestyle Using Company Funds
The District Court recently issued a harsh ruling regarding businessman Oren Kobi. According to the judges' findings, Kobi maintained a highly extravagant lifestyle for a long period, all while failing to transfer payments to the creditors' pool as he was required to do.
In the verdict, it was written that Kobi used the funds of the companies he owned as if they were his own personal money. He purchased luxury real estate in sought-after areas of Tel Aviv, while his debts to creditors remained unaddressed. This conduct, according to reports, continued for approximately six and a half years.
The judges emphasized that this was improper conduct that directly harmed those who were supposed to receive their money back. The court noted that Kobi did not fulfill his basic obligations as a debtor in bankruptcy proceedings, preferring to invest in expensive assets instead of repaying his debts.
This affair is causing a significant stir due to the improper use of funds that belonged to the companies. Now, following the court's decision, legal proceedings are expected to continue in an attempt to recover the funds for the creditors who were harmed by Kobi's conduct.
