Court: Oren Kobi led a lavish lifestyle using company funds
The District Court issued a harsh decision this week regarding businessman Oren Kobi. According to the judges' ruling, Kobi led an exceptionally lavish lifestyle for many years, all while failing to transfer the funds he owed to the liquidation fund of the companies he owned.
The verdict noted that Kobi did not pay his debts for a period of six and a half years. The judges severely criticized his conduct, determining that he treated the company's funds as his own, while completely ignoring his creditors and legal obligations.
The investigation further revealed that Kobi used these funds to purchase luxury real estate in sought-after areas of Tel Aviv. These actions were taken while the companies were mired in heavy debt, leading the court to conclude that this was improper conduct that harmed the body of creditors.
The case is drawing significant interest due to the scale of the funds involved and the personal use made of them. Now, following the court's decision, further steps are expected to be taken to attempt to recover the funds for the liquidation fund for the benefit of those harmed by Kobi's conduct.
