Change in WhatsApp: How to see photos without entering the chat
WhatsApp users around the world, including in Israel, are set to soon enjoy a new and particularly useful update. The update is designed to solve a familiar problem that occupies many users on a daily basis: the need to open every conversation individually to understand what type of media was received.
Until today, when you received a photo, video, or sticker, only a general label indicating the file type appeared in the chat list. Users were forced to enter the chat to see what it was, which wasted time and sometimes caused inconvenience, especially when there are many messages waiting to be read.
The new change displays a thumbnail directly next to the media type in the main chat list. Thanks to the update, users will be able to see in real-time which photo or sticker was sent to them, even before they click on the message itself.
The company has begun rolling out the update to users gradually, and it is expected to reach all devices in the near future. It is a small technical improvement, but one that changes the user experience of the app and makes message management much faster and more convenient for millions of Israelis who use the app every day.
