Four IDF soldiers were injured overnight during operational activity in the village of Beit Yahoun in southern Lebanon. The injuries occurred during an encounter with a Hezbollah terrorist who threw a grenade at them; the soldiers returned fire and eliminated the terrorist.
In the regional arena, the United States military attacked several targets in Iranian territory overnight. The strike came in response to an attack on an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz (a strategic shipping route in the Persian Gulf). US Vice President J.D. Vance clarified that Washington would respond forcefully to any violation of understandings by Tehran, noting that disputes can be resolved through dialogue, but violence will be met with violence.
Meanwhile, the first search and rescue delegation from Israel took off for Venezuela. The delegation will assist local authorities in locating trapped individuals and provide initial humanitarian aid to residents, following a double earthquake that struck the country and caused heavy damage.
