Third heatwave in Italy: health alert for high temperatures
Italy is currently facing the third heatwave of the year. Weather forecasts indicate a significant rise in temperatures across most of the country, with a particularly strong impact in the northern regions.
In the Po Valley, thermometers will reach peaks of 38-39 degrees. This sudden increase in heat is causing significant disruption to the population, prompting local authorities to constantly monitor the climatic situation in the most affected areas.
Faced with this emergency, the World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a health alert. The goal is to protect the most vulnerable categories, such as the elderly, children, and people with chronic conditions, who are at greater risk of health problems due to excessive heat.
Experts advise avoiding direct exposure to the sun during the hottest hours of the day, between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. It is also essential to maintain proper hydration by drinking plenty of water and consuming light meals based on fresh fruit and vegetables.
The situation will remain critical for the next few days, while the Ministry of Health continues to publish daily bulletins to update citizens on risk levels in various Italian cities. It is recommended to carefully follow official instructions to prevent illnesses and complications related to high temperatures.
